Questions, answered.
PolicyCheck is Lloyd's delegated authority software for the London market. It automates delegated authority oversight: every policy is checked against its binding authority (binder), with referrals, exceptions and audit-ready evidence proven to the clause.
Managing Agents and syndicates, Lloyd's Coverholders (also called MGAs), brokers and delegated authority auditors. Everyone works from the same record of binders, policies, endorsements and MTAs; what changes is what each role can do with it.
A coverholder audit reviews whether business written under a Binding Authority agreement sits within authority. PolicyCheck prepares the underwriting file review: every policy checked against its binder as it's written, so the audit pack and day-to-day oversight never disagree. Claims, financial controls and IT security remain separate audit workstreams.
PolicyCheck reads the Binding Authority agreement and the policy documents, then runs authority checks on scope, limits, territories, wordings and related terms. Each answer is IN, REFER or OUT with the clause behind it — so managing agents and coverholders see breaches and referrals before they reach the portfolio.
PBQA (policy documentation / quality assurance) checks that policy documents match what the binder and placement require. PolicyCheck automates those checks with evidence, so brokers and coverholders catch gaps before submission or bind.
Outside-authority writing is flagged as OUT (or REFER when judgement is needed). Nothing is assumed from missing data — a missing fact is never treated as a pass — so Managing Agents can act before audit.
Binding Authority agreements, schedules, wordings, endorsements, MTAs, certificates and bordereaux, in PDF, Word or CSV.
Upload them, or connect Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint and new files are picked up automatically.
Findings can be sent to Slack or Microsoft Teams so delegated authority oversight sits in the tools your team already uses.
No. Generative chat gives a plausible answer. PolicyCheck gives a proven one for Lloyd's delegated authority. AI reads your documents, but each policy decision uses fixed authority checks — like a checklist — so the same documents always get the same answer. Every answer shows the clause it came from, and where AI makes a judgement, it's labelled and a person confirms it.
